Photo Submission Terms
Version 1.0 · Effective 30 July 2026 · Last updated 30 July 2026
Thank you for sharing a moment with one of our animals. These terms explain what happens to a photo you submit to Dog and Cat Rescue Samui Foundation.
What you confirm
- You took the photo, or you have clear permission from the photographer to submit it.
- The photo shows the animal you selected.
- Any identifiable person in the photo has agreed to it being shared publicly. Please avoid photos of children.
- You are 16 or older, or a parent or guardian is submitting on your behalf.
What you allow us to do
You keep ownership of your photo. You give Dog and Cat Rescue Samui Foundation a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to use, display, crop and resize the photo:
- in the animal's community gallery in this app,
- on the Foundation's website and social media in connection with the animal or the Foundation's rescue work,
- in the Foundation's own printed and digital materials about its work.
We will not sell your photo to a stock library and we will not licence it to unrelated third parties for their own commercial use. This permission continues while we use the photo for the purposes above, and you can ask us to stop at any time (see below).
Your name and caption
Giving a first name and caption is optional. If you give a first name, it may be shown next to your photo as a credit. If you would rather stay anonymous, simply leave the name field empty.
Metadata and privacy
Photos are re-encoded in your browser before upload, which removes location (GPS) data and other camera metadata. Photos are uploaded to a private storage area and are not publicly visible before our team approves them. Rejected submissions and their files are deleted within 30 days.
Review and removal
- Every submission is reviewed by our team. We may edit, crop, decline or later remove any photo at our discretion.
- To have a photo removed, e-mail pmhaupt@gmail.com with the animal's name and roughly when you submitted it. We will remove it from the app and stop using it going forward. Copies already printed or shared by others may not be recoverable.
