Teddy

Hi, I’m Teddy. I may be a small dog, but I have a pretty big story. I’m only slightly bigger than a Chihuahua, and at over eight years old, shelter life can be especially difficult for someone my size. Everyone here does their best to keep me comfortable, but what I really need is a home of my own. I actually used to have one. I lived with a family and knew what it was like to be a house dog. But one day, my owner decided that he no longer wanted to care for me. I don’t know why. Maybe it was because I was getting older, or maybe there was another reason. All I know is that I went from being someone’s little companion to suddenly finding myself in a shelter. The good news is that I’m still doing well. I’m in good health and don’t currently have any serious health problems. And us little dogs can live for a long time, so I’m hoping I still have plenty of happy years ahead of me. Since I’ve lived in a home before, I already know what family life is like and should settle back into it quite easily. More than anything, I would love to spend the rest of my life knowing that I belong somewhere again. A comfortable place to sleep, people to keep company, and a family that won’t give up on me when I get older. If you can’t adopt me yourself, maybe you can share my story. Somewhere out there might be exactly the person who has a little space in their home and heart for a tiny older gentleman like me. ❤️
