Linda, at your service, sitting nice and straight because I think good posture makes a good first impression. I'm a bit more reserved than some of the other dogs around here - I like to watch and assess before I decide how excited to get. Once I warm up, though, that white patch on my chest practically glows with enthusiasm. I do fine around other dogs, taking things in stride rather than getting worked up. I think what I need most is a calm, steady home where I can ease into trusting someone at my own pace.
